Being a judge is not a seat of power.
It is a seat of service.
I am a firm believer in Due Process of the law, as guaranteed by the United States Constitution and the Constitution of Kentucky.
I am also a firm believer that the judicial process is a collaborative effort with every person involved, from the moment you meet court security at the front door, to the resolution of any matter.
Every individual involved in the judicial chain is an equally important link.
Of service to whom?
The citizens of the community in which one is elected.
The brave men and women of the court security staff who keep our courtrooms and judicial buildings safe.
The court clerks who work tirelessly and meticulously to preserve the accuracy and integrity of the court records.
To the Commonwealth and attorneys practicing before the Court.
Above all, to every individual who is before the Court no matter what their legal matters may be.
